Lin Chiling in new comedy film Jue Zhan Cha Ma Zhen

Lin Chi Ling came back for her new comedy film. After gained success for her China epic history film "Red Cliff" and her film with Jay Chou "Ci Ling", Lin chiling now is preparing her latest comedy film "决战刹马镇" (Jue zhan cha ma zhen).

The film produced by Sun Hong Lei, and also casted by Gan Wei, Zhou Wei Tong, Li Lichun, Ma Jian, Huang Hai Bing, Li Zhongran.

In the interview, Lin Chi-ling said that he has intentionally avoided using the "baby voice" speech, because she and Honglei is shooting the comedy movie. Lin Chiling Jay Chou in Treasure Hunter

The Treasure Hunter is the first collaboration between Jay Chou and Lin Chi-Ling, two of Taiwan's hottest stars.

With a budget of 400 million New Taiwan dollars (US$12 million), the action-packed film tells the adventure of Qiao Fei (Jay Chou), who strives to protect a hidden treasure with the help of Lan Ting (Lin Chi-Ling).

The Treasure Hunter is playing at Skycity cinemas later this year.

Directed by Taiwanese director Kevin Chu, Treasure Hunter depicts a story of a chivalrous young man, Qiao Fei (Jay Chou) who risks it all and attempts to defeat an unscrupulous organization by protecting the treasure. The movie cost up to S$21,000,000 to produce, and also stars leggy Taiwanese supermodel, Lin Chi-ling alongside Eric Tsang, Chen Daoming, Chen Chuhe, and Will Liu.

Singapore will be the first stop for the movie’s 11-day promotional tour. Lead actors Jay and Chi-ling will both arrive in Singapore on December 20 before they head to Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan.

There will be a photographic display of the movie at the entrance of Plaza Singapura till October 31. Shoppers will be able to catch a sneak peek of the movie with over 20 photographs on display.

The Treasure Story, and Synopsis:

In the northwest desert where countless prosperous dynasties have flourish and fallen, there is rumour of a buried treasure of unbelievable riches. A group of mysterious guardians have kept the map to the location of the treasure safe, until a fierce rivalry erupts. A notorious international crime group, The Company hunt down the map keepers and before they manage to secure it, the keeper passes the map to a young chivalrous man Ciao Fei (Jay Chou). Lin ChiLing Han Chae Young on Chinese Show

Korean star Han Chae-young and Taiwanese model-turned-actress Lin Chi-ling are set to appear on a top TV show in China, according to a press release on Thursday.

The two actresses met in Korea last week to shoot a segment of "Happy Base Camp" as Lin was selected as the celebrity to promote Seoul and Han was chosen as the top actress in Korea, said Han's agency BH Entertainment.

Han, who is currently learning Chinese, showed off her Chinese speaking skills and taught the hosts the Korean language and its culture in the segment set to air at the end of this month, the statement explained.

"Camp" is one of China's most-watched TV shows broadcast on Hunan Satellite Television since 1997.

Han is currently one of the most popular actresses in South Korea, appearing in several TV dramas including 2004's "Delightful Girl Choon-Hyang" and the smash hit "Boys Over Flower" earlier this year.

Lin is a successful Taiwanese model and the official spokesperson for China Airlines, who became known throughout Korea with her acting debut in John Woo's film "Red Cliff" in 2008.

Lin Chi-ling in financial difficulties?

Recent rumour has it that Lin Chi-ling's brother's cosmetic business has recently run into financial problems and is now in debt.

To show support for her family, Lin did not just invest money in her brother's cosmetic business but also endorsed the products. Unfortunately, the NT$50million (about S$2.5million) she forked out was unable to save her brother's business. The distribution rights of the cosmetics will be withdrawn in June.

Taiwanese media exposed that Lin previously accepted the financial aid of Jerry Yan, the model-turned-actor whom she had dated for four years.

Though Yan is known to be frugal, he is very generous to his girlfriend and friends. He initiated to help his then-girlfriend when he learnt that they were in dire financial straits. Being a high grossing celebrity, Yan forked out millions every year, between 2002 and 2006, to help the Lin family clear their debt and even gave her a luxury car.

The couple broke up later after Lin became famous and too busy to maintain the relationship.

Neither party was available to comment about the report but Lin's mother rebutted furiously, saying that her family is not facing any financial difficulty and her daughter does not need to contribute to the family.

She added, "Jerry Yan has no special relationship with our family, why would there by any monetary flow between us?"

With regards to Lin's rumoured relationship with businessman Qiu Shikai, Lin's mother said that both Lin's and Qiu's businesses are on par and they never depended on outsiders to eliminate their debt. Neither is Lin Chi-ling after the Qiu family assets.

Lin Chi-ling voted Taiwan FHM's sexiest for third time running

Results of the "2009 Top 100 Sexiest Ladies" poll organized by Taiwan's FHM Magazine were recently unveiled. 34-year-old Taiwanese top model Lin Chi-ling came in top for the third year running. Taiwanese diva Jolin Tsai and Hollywood actress Megan Fox are in second and third place respectively.


The FHM poll, which was held from March 1 to April 20, entered its eighth year. Interestingly, members of Taiwanese girl group S.H.E, Ella and Selina, once made it to the first and second spots, but both dropped out of top 50 after the six weeks battle.

When the poll ended, the top three ladies from last year managed to defend their spots. Lin was crowned champ for the third time with 55,182 votes.
Her manager said on her behalf, "Thank you for your support. I will work harder in my movies and showcase all my sexy apparel selflessly."

The only singer in the top ten, Tsai is recognized as the trendsetter of the female fashion without revealling too much of her body. She expressed her gratitude for the public's votes but hoped that people can also show the same support her music career.
